MAXIMILLIAN A. NOVEL
Maximillian A. Novel is the founding member of the firm. Mr. Novel received his law degree from Rutgers University School of Law in Newark, where he competed in the mock trial program and interned at the Office of the Federal Public Defender. After Mr. Novel graduated from law school he was selected for a coveted judicial clerkship with the Honorable John A. Young, Jr., J.S.C. in Hudson County's Criminal Division. During that clerkship, Mr.Novel learned many critical skills from Judge Young and the leading criminal defense lawyers in the State of New Jersey including but not limited to: cross-examination, brief writing, trial and motion preparation and effective arguments. During law school and after his clerkship, Mr.Novel was mentored by legendary criminal defense attorney Peter Willis where he learned firsthand about case strategy and trial preparation.
Mr. Novel's practice focuses on litigation in state and federal courts. Mr. Novel has tried numerous cases in state and federal court with charges ranging from murder to official misconduct. Mr. Novel's cases have received coverage in the Jersey Journal, Star Ledger, The Record, The New York Times, The Washington Times, Chicago Tribune, Baltimore Sun, Daily Mail, Associated Press, NBC News and CBS News. Mr. Novel is recognized by Super Lawyers Rising Star Section, an honor limited to no more than 2.5% of the attorneys within the State of New Jersey.
